Official Postal Center
The Official Postal Center (OPC) provides official mail services to personnel assigned to Eielson AFB. These services are primarily for our military members assigned to Unaccompanied Housing/Dormitories and our Squadrons. We also provide General Mail Delivery service for our incoming personnel, as well as those on TDY assignments.
The OPC does not deliver mail to on-base housing. This service is provided by the United States Postal Service (USPS). There is a USPS office located in our building for all USPS services.

General Mail Delivery Service
Eielson AFB offers a General Mail pick-up service for those on PCS/TDY orders and is good for a period of 90 days while house hunting, settling into the dormitories, or temporarily assigned to the base.
Personnel wanting to use our General Delivery Service will need to send us a copy of orders, or Memorandum from Command, to receive an assigned address.

Lodging Personnel
The Gold Rush Inn does not accept any USPS, FedEx, UPS, or DHL mail or packages for its guests. All guests shall use the Eielson AFB Official Postal Center for all mail and packages. The Official Postal Center, USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL will not deliver mail, or packages to the Gold Rush Inn and must be picked up in person at the Official Postal Center. The Official Postal Center may not be used as long-term storage and mail. Mail or packages left unclaimed, may be returned to sender IAW Military Postal Service Procedures Manual (MPM) Originating Component: Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA) Effective: Change 1 Effective: August 10, 2023.
