April is Month of the Military Child

Celebrating Military Children All Month Long

Purple Up for Military Kids

The Defense Department & FSS celebrates military children during the month of April. There are more than 1.6 million military children who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents’ service.

While military members serve around the world, we often forget the challenges faced by their children. Military families move on average every two to three years, impacting military children through changing schools and support networks.

Each year, we celebrate military children and the sacrifices they make with a month full of activities & a MOMC Carnival at the Fitness Center!

MOMC Carnival • Sat. April 12 • 10 AM – 2 PM • Fitness Center

FSS and the Gary Sinese Foundation present the Month of the Military Child Carnival Sat. April 12 at the Fitness Center from 10am-2pm!

Join us in celebrating military kids of all ages with an action-packed day full of fun and activities! Activities are located on the indoor field & upstairs track and include Carnival Games, Arts & Crafts, Photo Booth, Family Obstacle Course, Magic Show, Youth Magic Demonstration, Youth Dance Exhibition, Youth Gymnastics Demo, Sponsor Booths, Bounce Houses, and so much more!
