April is Month of the Military Child
Celebrating Military Children All Month Long
Purple Up for Military Kids
The Defense Department & FSS celebrates military children during the month of April. There are more than 1.6 million military children who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents’ service.
While military members serve around the world, we often forget the challenges faced by their children. Military families move on average every two to three years, impacting military children through changing schools and support networks.
Each year, we celebrate military children and the sacrifices they make with a month full of activities & a MOMC Carnival at the Fitness Center!
MOMC Carnival • Sat. April 11 • 10 AM – 12 PM • Fitness Center
Families are invited to celebrate military children of all ages during a fun-filled Month of the Military Child Carnival at the Fitness Center. The event will feature a variety of activities on the indoor field, including games, an exciting obstacle course, and a Youth Programs Exhibition showcasing opportunities available to young participants. This action-packed celebration honors the strength and resilience of military children while providing a morning of fun for the entire family.
